The experience
Day one starts with a bike ride through peaceful villages where daily life unfolds along the water: children swimming, women washing clothes, locals going about their routines. You'll cycle through riverside fruit gardens heavy with mangoes, jackfruits, star apples and pineapples, stopping to taste what's in season and learn how farmers tend them. The route passes rice paddies as the sun drops, then you can swim at the homestay pool before dinner.
Day two is a 3-hour drive through endless rice paddies to Tra Su Cajuput forest, where a motorboat takes you through calm waterways lined with lotus flowers and wild plants. You'll switch to a paddle boat to spot white storks and bright-colored birds, then climb a 14-meter lookout tower for views across the green canopy as flocks return to their nests at dusk. Lunch is local, and you're back at the hotel by afternoon.
Day three begins at 6:30 AM at Cai Rang floating market, where you'll float among lively boats loaded with pineapples, watermelons and vegetables while eating warm rice noodle soup and drinking Vietnamese coffee on the water. After the market, you visit a family rice noodle factory to watch hand-made noodles being produced the traditional way, take a tranquil boat ride through water coconut palms, and finish at an organic cocoa farm where you can taste handmade chocolate before checkout at noon.

How difficult is the bike ride on day one, and what kind of terrain will I be cycling?
The bike trip runs from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM through peaceful rural villages and riverside fruit gardens on flat terrain typical of the Mekong Delta. The route is suitable for all physical fitness levels, and the pace is set to meet locals and take in the landscape rather than cover distance quickly.
