The experience

The Skynet Playground sits inside a grove of old oak trees in Santa Ynez Valley, and the course itself is a netted structure that lets you move through three dimensions instead of staying on solid ground. You bounce on netting, balance across suspended sections, crawl through passages and climb through the canopy: all within a safety net that catches you if you slip. The setup means you're engaging your whole body and your sense of balance in ways a regular playground doesn't ask for.

You check in at Basecamp to sign your waiver and confirm you're eligible, then the Skynet Guides walk through the safety guidelines before you enter the course. The guides stay present throughout your session to make sure you're moving safely and to answer questions as you work through the different sections. Up to 90 minutes gives you time to explore the course at your own pace without feeling rushed, and with a maximum of 25 people per timeslot, you're not navigating around crowds.

The oak grove itself is part of the experience. You're surrounded by the trees while you move through the netting, and the views stay with you whether you're inside the Playground or taking a break outside. This works for families with young kids, groups doing team-building, or anyone marking a special occasion with something more active than a typical outing.

Is this one for you?The course asks you to move actively (bouncing, balancing, crawling and climbing), so it suits people who are comfortable with physical engagement and don't need a stationary experience. The netting catches you if you slip, which means you can push your limits without the fear of a fall, making it workable for families and groups with varying confidence levels.
