Sixty platforms, seven ziplines, and five trails you navigate at your own pace

Self-guided ziplining and aerial climbing at The Adventure Park on Cape Cod puts you in a harness and sends you through the treetops on color-coded trails designed for all abilities. You start with a safety briefing and practice session, then choose your own route among 5 trails that weave between 60 platforms connected by bridges, ladders, ziplines and other crossings. The park staff stay on hand for questions, and the whole experience runs roughly 2.5 hours. Children from age 7 are welcome, and it suits any fitness level up to 265 lbs.

The experience

The five trails are color-coded like ski slopes, so you pick the difficulty that matches how you want to spend the afternoon. Each one strings together platforms high in the canopy, and you move between them on ziplines, rope bridges, ladders and other crossings: some of them swaying, some of them solid. The 7 ziplines are the headline, but the climbing and balancing on the platforms and bridges is where most of the time goes. You're clipped in the whole time, and the harness and all safety gear come with the ticket.

After the safety briefing and a practice run on the ground, you're loose to explore. The staff are stationed around the park and will answer questions or help if you get stuck on a crossing, but the point is self-discovery. You set the pace and choose which trail to tackle. Families often split up here, with kids taking the easier routes while adults push into the harder ones, then meeting up between sections. The park is built for this: you can spend 90 minutes or three hours depending on how many trails you want to run and how long you linger on each platform.

The whole setup sits in nature, so you're moving through the actual forest canopy rather than a manufactured obstacle course. Bring water and wear shoes with good grip. The platforms and crossings can be damp if there's been rain. The park is open year-round, though the experience changes with the season: leafy and shaded in summer, open views in winter.

Top questions

Can children come?

Yes. Ticket types: Youth (7 to 13 years). Children under 7 can't be included in the booking.

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

What's the difference between the five trails at the Adventure Park?

The trails are color-coded by difficulty, like ski runs, so you can pick the level that matches your comfort. Easier routes use more stable platforms and shorter ziplines. Harder ones have longer lines and more technical crossings. You see all five options when you arrive and can mix them: do an easy one first, then try something harder.

Do I need to be in good shape to zipline on Cape Cod?

The park welcomes all fitness levels. You move at your own pace and can take breaks on the platforms whenever you need them. The main limits are age (7 and older) and weight (up to 265 lbs). The harness and equipment work within those ranges.

How long does the whole experience take?

Plan for roughly 2.5 hours from start to finish, including the safety briefing, practice session, and time on the trails. Some people finish in 90 minutes if they stick to one or two routes. Others spend the full three hours exploring all five.

What happens if I get nervous on a zipline or crossing?

Staff are stationed throughout the park and available for questions and help. You can take your time on any crossing, and there's no pressure to move fast. If a particular line feels too much, you can skip it and take a different route down.

Is the Adventure Park open in winter, and does weather affect the experience?

The park operates year-round. Rain makes the platforms and crossings slippery, so wear shoes with good grip and check conditions before you go. Cold doesn't stop the activity, but dress in layers since you'll be in the open canopy.
