Race across a ridgeline 200 feet above ground on six progressively longer lines

Gravity New River Gorge Zip Lines is a six-line ziplining course near Fayetteville, West Virginia, where you operate the equipment across a mountain bowl at heights up to 200 feet. Groups stay under 16 with three certified guides. The course runs three hours from a 10-minute shuttle to base camp through two short warm-up lines, three mid-range stretches, and a final 3,100-foot run where speeds top 40 mph. Weight must fall between 100 and 260 pounds, and minimum age is 12.

The experience

The course starts with a 10-minute shuttle from the departure point to base camp, where guides fit you with a harness, helmet and gloves, then walk you through zip positioning on a training line. Two shorter lines (500 and 450 feet) let you find your rhythm before the terrain steepens. The middle section runs three progressively longer stretches between 1,400 and 1,800 feet, building speed and confidence across the ridgeline.

The final push is the Adrena-Line: 3,100 feet of open air where the harness and physics combine to push speeds past 40 mph. A short shuttle carries you back to the resort afterward, and a complimentary beverage waits at the finish. The whole arc (from training to the longest line in the East) is built into a single three-hour window.

What’s included

  • Helmet, harness and gloves.
