The experience
The gorge is the reason this zipline feels different. You start perched on the rim and descend through the canopy in a series of elevated platforms, each one giving a new angle on the same stretch of forest and river below. Eleven ziplines and a sky bridge carry you across the span. Three rappels let you drop straight down the cliff face between them. The whole course covers 1.25 miles and loses 1,100 vertical feet from start to finish, so the views change as you go lower.
Guides do all the clipping and unclipping at each platform, and the braking system is automatic. You don't operate the equipment yourself, which means you can stay focused on the ride. All safety gear is provided. The tour takes 4 hours and moves at a steady pace through the platforms and lines, so it's active but not rushed. Closed-toe shoes are required. Crocs and slingbacks won't work on the platforms.
You'll need at least a moderate level of fitness for the climbing and walking between platforms. Participants must weigh between 70 and 250 pounds. A live guide leads the group in English throughout the tour. Snacks are available for purchase at the outpost if you want them during the day.

Is this one for you?The 4-hour pace and the climbing between platforms mean you need at least moderate fitness, but the guides handle all the technical safety work, so the physical demand is the walking and the exposure on the lines themselves, not managing equipment.
