The experience
Rocklin's Quarry Park Adventures sits on an active granite quarry where the terrain itself becomes the playground. After a 30-minute gear-up and orientation, you get 2 hours to move between six different activities scattered across and above the quarry floor. The setup means you're not locked into a single route or a guided sequence. You pick which activities to tackle based on what appeals to you in the moment, and most visitors complete two or three before the session ends.
The activities span different skill levels and intensities. Ziplines let you move fast across the quarry; climbing walls and via ferrata offer vertical challenge; rappelling and free fall are about controlled descent; the aerial adventure combines balance and navigation above ground. Each one uses the quarry's natural features and elevation changes, so the setting itself shapes what each activity feels like. You'll move between them on foot within the park, and a guide is present throughout to manage safety and answer questions.
Bottled water and all required safety equipment (harnesses, helmets, ropes) come with your entry. The quarry has a maximum height limit of 6 feet 6 inches for all activities, and weight limits run 45 to 250 pounds. Children from age 4 are welcome, though the physical demands vary by activity. The operator recommends at least moderate fitness. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase if you want them beyond the water included.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (4 to 11 years). Under 4: they can't be included in the booking.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I do all six activities in 2 hours, or do I have to choose?
Most guests complete two or three activities in the 2-hour window depending on how much time each one takes and how long you spend on it. You pick which ones to do, so you can focus on the ones that appeal most to you rather than rushing through all six.
What's the difference between rappelling and via ferrata at Quarry Park?
Rappelling is a controlled descent using ropes and harnesses. Via ferrata is a climbing route using fixed metal rungs and cables bolted into the rock face. Both involve vertical movement, but via ferrata is more about ascending and traversing, while rappelling is about lowering yourself down.
Do I need experience to do the ziplines or climbing walls?
No prior experience is required. The 30-minute orientation covers everything you need to know, and a guide oversees all activities. The climbing walls and ziplines are set up for different ability levels, so beginners can start on easier sections.
Is there a guide with me the whole time, or just during the orientation?
A live guide leads the 30-minute orientation and is present throughout the park during your 2-hour adventure time to manage safety and answer questions as you move between activities.
What happens if I'm not comfortable with heights or one of the activities?
You choose which activities to do, so you can skip anything that doesn't appeal to you and spend your time on the ones you want to try. The orientation covers what each activity involves, so you'll know what to expect before you commit to it.
