Seven courses, 12 to 15 elements each, from yellow beginner to black expert

Ziplining and rope courses at Bristol Mountain Aerial Adventures puts you in control of the equipment across more than 120 suspended elements attached to trees. Seven courses range from easy to challenging, each filled with ziplines, rope walks, ladders, bridges and even a treetop skateboard. Guides provide all gear and supervision. Children from age 7 are welcome. The session runs about three hours and suits groups bonding together or individuals testing their limits.

The experience

The park's setup is straightforward: you pick a course that matches your comfort level, then work through it at your own pace. The yellow course gets you started with the fundamentals. Each step up adds complexity and height. By the time you reach the black course, you're handling serious obstacles. Every course is built into the trees with elements securely fastened, so the environment itself becomes part of the challenge. You're not on a tower or a wall, but moving through an actual forest canopy.

What makes this different from a guided tour is that you're the one operating the equipment. Guides are there to fit your harness, check your setup, and answer questions, but once you're clipped in, you're navigating the course yourself. That means you control the pace, you decide which elements to tackle, and you get to feel the problem-solving and decision-making in real time. Groups often find this builds communication naturally: people help each other figure out tricky sections, and the shared challenge creates a different kind of bonding than watching something happen.

Bring comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes with good grip. The three-hour window gives most people time to attempt multiple courses or spend longer on one that's pushing their limits. Children from age 7 can participate, though they'll need to be comfortable with heights and have the physical ability to pull themselves up and across obstacles.

What’s included

  • Park admission to all seven courses.
  • harness, helmet, and safety equipment.
  • guide instruction and supervision throughout your three-hour session.

Is this one for you?You navigate the courses yourself rather than watching a guide demonstrate them, so this suits anyone who wants to feel in control of the challenge and test their own problem-solving under pressure. Shared sessions mean you're in the park with other groups, which works well for team-building or family bonding but not for private instruction.

Top questions

Can children come?

Yes. Ticket types: Youth (7 to 17 years). Children under 7 can't be included in the booking.

What exactly are the courses at Bristol Mountain Aerial Adventures made of?

Each course contains 12 to 15 suspended elements (ziplines, rope walks, rope ladders, bridges, and a skateboard ride) all securely attached to trees. The elements stay in place. You move through them using the harness and techniques the guides teach you.

Can I pick which course to do, or does everyone start at the same level?

You choose your course based on your comfort level. The yellow course is designed for beginners, and difficulty increases through orange, red, blue, green, and purple courses, with the black course as the most challenging. You can attempt multiple courses during your three-hour session if you want.

Do I need experience or special fitness to do this?

No prior experience is needed. The guides teach you everything. You should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness because you'll be pulling yourself up, across, and through obstacles for several hours. Children from age 7 are welcome if they're comfortable with heights and can handle the physical demands.

What happens if I get stuck on an element or need help?

Guides are stationed throughout the park to assist. They can help you problem-solve, check your setup, or guide you through a section you're struggling with. You're not racing. The pace is entirely yours.

What's included in the admission, and what do I need to bring?

Admission includes all equipment (harness, helmet, and any other gear you need) plus guide supervision and instruction. Bring comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes with good grip. Gloves are not included if you want them.
