The experience

The farm sits on the Woodpecker Trail route along state Routes 121, spanning North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. What started as long leaf pine forestation six generations ago became an olive orchard in 2015-9,000 trees planted across 300 acres. The tour begins with the history of olive oil and what "extra virgin" actually means, then moves into the grove itself to see the different varieties and how they're maintained year-round.

After the orchard, the route continues into the natural pine plantation that surrounds it. This part of the walk is where the serenity of the property becomes clear: the scale of the land, the wildlife habitat, and the quiet that comes with it. The tour wraps up indoors with a guided tasting of the farm's oils and balsamic vinegar reductions, and you can buy first-press EVOO directly from the farm if something appeals to you.
