The experience
What makes this different from a cooking class in a restaurant kitchen is the setting itself. You're working in Eric and Nancy's home, not a commercial space: their open kitchen, their dining table, their way of doing things. Eric has been cooking for over 40 years and treats it as something done with care and intention. He welcomes you into that space and teaches you to make 2 dishes depending on which menu you choose: Mexican fiesta (burritos, tacos, or quesadillas with seven fresh salsas), American BBQ (burgers, wings, or sausages with sides), seafood (grilled fish, scallops, or shrimp with pasta or risotto), or Sunday brunch (quiche, omelet, or breakfast burrito with French toast or waffles). The hands-on part takes about 1.5 hours.
After you finish cooking, you move to the dining table with Eric and Nancy to eat the meal you made together. Wine, beer, sangria, tequila, mimosas, or bloody marys come with the meal depending on your menu choice. The whole experience runs 3 hours. If you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or cooking preferences, tell Eric when you book and he'll adjust: vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available. The home sits 30–45 minutes from Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Disney, so it's reachable from those areas without a long drive.
