The experience

An instructor meets you at beach access #16 (4400 Gulf Blvd., South Padre Island) and walks you through a series of techniques for building and carving a better sandcastle. This is hands-on work from the start. You're not watching a demonstration. Within an hour, you'll have a finished sandcastle instead of a pile of wet sand that collapses the moment you step back.

All equipment is provided and stays with you for your entire stay on South Padre Island, so you can keep building after the class ends if you want to. The class suits families, groups of friends, or anyone who wants to move beyond the basic bucket-and-shovel approach. Children under 8 need an adult to help them through the techniques, but the instruction adapts to mixed ages.

You choose between two options at checkout: Sandcastles for Everyone, or Serious Sandcastling. Both run the same hour and meet at the same spot. The difference is in the depth of technique and what you're aiming to build. The instructor speaks English and Spanish.
