A 3-hour snorkeling excursion from South Padre Island aboard The Southern Wave takes you to the north end where you anchor for two hours to snorkel, swim and sunbathe on a spacious deck. All snorkel equipment, lunch (hamburgers, hot dogs, fresh fruit), soft drinks and bottled water are included; bring your own alcohol if you'd like, and vegetarian options are available on request.
The Experience
The boat leaves South Padre Island and cruises north to anchor for the main event—two hours in the water or on the deck. You get snorkel equipment, so you're ready to go in whenever you want. The water time is yours to split however it suits you: some people spend it all snorkeling, others split their time between the water and the sun on deck.
Lunch happens on board. The crew grills hamburgers and hot dogs, and you eat as much as you want. Fresh fruit, soft drinks and bottled water come with it. If you bring your own alcohol, that's fine—BYOB is welcome. Let them know ahead of time if you're vegetarian and they'll have veggie burgers ready. The spacious deck means there's room to lounge between eating and swimming, so the day doesn't feel rushed.
The whole trip runs 3 hours, which gives you real time in the water without an early start or a late return. A live guide is on board and speaks English. All ages and fitness levels work here, and the boat is set up for families.
