Snorkeling & Scuba Diving: Kona's Best Reef Sites
Dive or snorkel with turtles and dolphins, plus a fresh lunch onboard
A morning snorkeling and scuba activity off Kona's coast with Jack's Diving Locker, Kona's oldest dive shop, featuring two guided dives or snorkel tours led by certified instructors. You'll explore reef habitats where reef fish, eels, octopus, turtles, dolphins, and humpback whales (in winter) are frequently spotted. Lunch, gear, hot shower, and onboard facilities are included.
The experience
Jack's Diving Locker runs two guided dives or snorkel tours in a single morning, so you're in and out of the water before the afternoon. The boat leaves Kona and heads to the shop's best reef sites, where you'll spend time at depth or on the surface depending on your certification and comfort. Certified divers go down twice. Snorkelers and uncertified divers stay at the surface with the same guide and the same marine life. Reef fish, eels, octopus, and turtles are regular sightings. In winter months, humpback whales often surface between dives, and dolphins show up year-round.
The boat carries a hot shower and bathroom, so you can rinse off salt water before eating. Lunch is a sandwich with juice and water. Tanks, weights, mask, snorkel, fins, and wetsuit come with your booking. If you want other gear, the shop rents it on the boat. If you're diving multiple days, you can leave your gear in storage at the shop instead of hauling it back to your hotel.
