The Experience

The day starts with hotel pickup and heads straight to Sedona's Chapel of the Holy Cross, a 30-minute stop where you stand inside the chapel itself to see the artwork and views framed by Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock outside. From there, Uptown Sedona gives you time to walk local shops and galleries—and grab lunch to go if you want it. Then comes the drive: Oak Creek Canyon between Sedona and the Grand Canyon is the scenic stretch that separates the two, and you ride it in an air-conditioned minivan with your guide.

The Grand Canyon portion runs about three hours at the South Rim. You'll visit a minimum of two major viewpoints, with time both on your own to stand at the rim and with your guide to understand what you're looking at. The group caps at five passengers, which means the minivan doesn't feel crowded and your guide can actually talk to people instead of shouting from the front.
