Eight hours of Pacific Northwest singletrack, from beginner-friendly flow to technical rooty terrain

A full-day mountain bike tour from Seattle with a certified guide and small group (4:1 ratio) that starts at Duthie Hill MTB Park to assess your riding level, then moves to either Raging River or Tiger Mountain trails depending on your skills. You ride lush, loamy Pacific Northwest terrain, break for a catered picnic lunch, and return with all protective gear, bikes and snacks included.

Step-by-step itinerary

Full day mountain bike tour

  • Ride at Duthie Hill MTB Park
  • Enjoy picnic style lunch
  • Ride at Raging River trails
  • Or ride at Tiger Mountain trails

The experience

Eight hours on the bike means you start early and spend most of the day in the saddle. The tour begins at Duthie Hill MTB Park, where your guide watches how you handle the bike on its variety of trails (everything from smooth flow to more technical sections) to figure out which afternoon trail system suits your ability. Duthie Hill itself has enough terrain to keep you riding for a while before lunch, so you're not just warming up. You're actually riding.

After Duthie Hill, your guide takes you to a scenic spot for a picnic-style lunch from a local caterer. The operator can handle dietary restrictions if you give 48 hours' notice. Then you head to one of two trail areas: Raging River, which has the iconic Pacific Northwest look (lush greenery, tall trees, loamy soil, and smoother flow trails), or Tiger Mountain, which is world-renowned in the mountain bike world for its chunky, rooty, technical terrain. Your guide makes the call based on what they saw at Duthie Hill and what you're comfortable with.

You get a full suspension mountain bike, helmet, elbow pads, knee pads and gloves. The operator includes bottled water, snacks and an air-conditioned vehicle for travel between spots. A certified, English-speaking guide stays with your group of no more than four riders, so you're not lost in a crowd and the pacing stays matched to your level. Hotel pickup is included.
