The Experience

Ninety minutes on a trolley becomes a theater where you're part of the cast. The trolley leaves the Discover Sarasota Tours Trolley Cottage with performers and passengers mixed together as suspects in the murder of the Circus Queen. You'll read lines from a script if you take a speaking role, or wear a prop and stay silent if you prefer—either way, you're helping the sleuths work through the clues and motives. There's no acting experience needed; the script does the work, and the performers guide you through it as the trolley moves.

Everyone on board has a reason to have done it. The setup is simple: you show up 30 minutes before departure, grab a complimentary wine or beer at the Tiki Bar, and then board an air-conditioned trolley where the mystery unfolds. The performers will tell you what to do and when to speak, so you're following along rather than improvising. Wear a circus costume if you want to lean into the theme, or come as you are—the script and the props carry the show.

Arrive within 5 minutes of your scheduled departure time, or the trolley leaves without you and your ticket goes back on sale.
