You leave Los Angeles early and drive north through the Central Valley to the Monterey Peninsula, stopping at the 17-Mile Drive and Pebble Beach before arriving in San Francisco. Day two covers the Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, Lombard Street, and Fisherman's Wharf with an optional 90-minute Bay cruise; you also see the Cathedral of Saint Mary, Civic Center Plaza, and Twin Peaks. Day three is a full day in Yosemite National Park among El Capitan, Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls before the drive back to LA. The Experience

You're in the van before the sun clears the valley. Los Angeles drops behind as the drive north opens up—180 minutes through the Central Valley, the farm belt that grows half the country's fruit and vegetables, before the coast appears and the road bends toward Monterey. By afternoon you're on the 17-Mile Drive, the Pacific crashing against cliffs on one side while Del Monte cypress forest lines the other, and the van pulls into Pebble Beach long enough to stand in front of those manicured greens and endless ocean views. Then San Francisco rises ahead, and you check into your hotel knowing tomorrow is the city itself.

Day two is all San Francisco. The Golden Gate Bridge gets 45 minutes—wind off the bay, the sweeping views, the shots that say "San Francisco" better than anything else. Then the Palace of Fine Arts, that grand Greco-Roman rotunda from the 1915 World's Fair, mirrored in a quiet lagoon. Lombard Street comes next, eight tight switchbacks down a flower-lined hill, and after that you're at Fisherman's Wharf for 2.5 hours—shops, seafood stalls, street performers, and if you choose it, a 90-minute Bay cruise out past Alcatraz and under the bridges for a completely different angle on the skyline. The guide fills the gaps with the city's lesser-seen corners: the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, Civic Center Plaza, Twin Peaks for a 360-degree view. It's a lot, but the pace doesn't rush.

The third day is Yosemite, a three-hour drive from your hotel and then the whole day inside a UNESCO World Heritage site. El Capitan, Half Dome, Bridal Veil Falls, Yosemite Valley, Yosemite Falls—every turn looks like a postcard. The granite giants and waterfalls are the thing you came for, and there's time to actually stand in front of them instead of just passing through. After sunset you head back to Los Angeles, camera full and tired in the way that means you saw something real.

The hotels are comfortable, the guide is bilingual and knows the route cold, and the van does all the driving so you don't have to think about directions or parking. Breakfast is included, so is the 17-Mile Drive admission and Yosemite entry. The Bay cruise is optional—if you skip it, you get the full 2.5 hours at the wharf instead. Winter note: if snow or ice closes Yosemite, the route shifts to Solvang Village and Santa Barbara before returning to LA, so the scenery changes but the day doesn't collapse.
