If you’ve ever wondered what freefall feels like but don’t want to jump from a plane, this indoor skydiving session in San Diego is your chance. You’ll float on powerful winds with an instructor guiding you every second—no experience needed. It’s fun for all ages and you even get a flight certificate to take home.
Walking into the wind tunnel center, I could already hear the low hum of the fans behind the glass. The staff handed me a jumpsuit and helmet—felt a bit odd at first, but everyone else looked just as excited (and maybe a little nervous). Our instructor, Mike, cracked a few jokes to break the ice before running us through a quick training session. He showed us how to hold our arms and legs so we wouldn't spin out of control once inside. Honestly, it was easier than I thought it'd be.
When it was my turn to step into the tunnel, my heart was pounding. The air hit me fast—strong but not scary—and suddenly I was floating! It’s loud in there, like standing next to a jet engine, but you get used to it after a second. Mike stayed right by my side, giving hand signals and keeping me steady. Each flight lasted about a minute, but time felt weirdly slow while hovering mid-air. Between turns, I watched others try their first flights—lots of laughs and high-fives all around. At the end, they handed out certificates with our names on them. Small thing, but it made me feel like I'd actually done something big.
Yes! Kids as young as 3 can fly here. Instructors are always present inside the tunnel to help guide them safely.
No prior experience is needed and most fitness levels are welcome. Just wear comfy clothes and lace-up sneakers.
The full session runs about 75 minutes from check-in to finish—including training and both flights.
If you have neck, back, heart issues or recent shoulder dislocations—or if you're pregnant—you won't be able to fly for safety reasons.
Your booking covers two one-on-one flights with an instructor, all gear (suit, helmet), training before you fly, local taxes, and your own flight achievement certificate to take home.
