The experience
You're new to climbing, or you have a free afternoon near Cody and want to try something physical outdoors. A professional guide meets you at the climbing site just minutes from town, near the east entrance to Yellowstone, and walks you through the basics before you start climbing. The guide handles the technical setup (harness, rope, helmet), and stays with you the whole time, adjusting the difficulty to match what you can do that day. You climb real rock in a beautiful setting, not an indoor wall.
The four-hour session is structured so you spend most of your time actually climbing, not sitting around. The guide is there to keep you safe, show you technique, and push you a little further than you thought you could go. Rock shoes, a harness, and a helmet are all provided. Bring water and wear clothes you don't mind getting dusty. Children from age 6 can join, and the guide will scale the experience to their size and strength.
What’s included
