The experience

"The driver's already here with my name on a sign. I don't even have to call and ask where he is." That's the moment you realize this transfer is different from the usual scramble to the curb. Your driver arrives at your Richmond hotel or address at the time you choose, nameplate ready, and you walk straight to an air-conditioned car instead of joining the queue for a shared shuttle or hunting for a taxi. No tracking down the driver, no waiting for other passengers to show up, no surprise charges at the end.

The car itself is clean, the driver speaks English and knows the route to Richmond Airport (RIC) cold. They'll help with your luggage, and if you're traveling with kids, child seats are available for any age. You just need to mention it when you book. The vehicle is fully licensed and insured, equipped for any weather, and if you need to strap down sports gear or extra equipment, the car has the fastenings for it. You sit back and get to the airport on time, which sounds simple until you've actually missed a flight because the shared shuttle made four other stops first.

The service tracks your flight, so if there's a delay on your end, the driver knows about it before you do. The price is locked in before you get in the car: no meter, no negotiation, no "it's more than we quoted because of traffic." Up to eight passengers fit in one vehicle, so if you're traveling as a group, it's one car, one driver, one fixed price. Infant seats, soft drinks in the lounge, free Wi-Fi while you wait for pickup. The details are there because someone thought through what actually matters when you're leaving town early and stressed about making your flight.
