The experience

The boat leaves from Auke Bay after a 25-minute drive from your ship or hotel in a Mercedes Sprinter. Your captain and naturalist guide know where the whales have been moving and take you to the locations where you're most likely to see humpbacks, orcas, harbor seals, Steller sea lions, and bald eagles. The yacht is the only one of its kind in Southeast Alaska, and because it's yours alone, there's no jockeying for position at the rail or waiting for other groups to finish photographing.

The 4-hour experience includes champagne, beer, wine, coffee, tea and snacks. Your captain handles navigation and wildlife spotting while the naturalist shares local knowledge about the Inside Passage and the animals you encounter. A maximum of 8 people keeps the deck from feeling crowded and means everyone gets a clear view.
