Step-by-step itinerary
Private 6-hour offshore fishing charter
- Arrive at Bear Point Marina early
- Meet U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain
- Board the fishing boat
- Enjoy fishing for various species
- Experience wildlife sightings on the Gulf
The experience
You arrive at Bear Point Marina about ten minutes before departure and board either the Miss B Haven, a 22-foot Mako center console with a single 250 hp Mercury engine, or the Reely Miss B Haven, a 24-foot Sailfish with twin 150 hp Yamahas. Both boats carry the latest electronics (trolling motors with spot lock, chart and sonar systems, radar, satellite weather and a personal locator beacon) plus padded seating around the deck. The larger boat has an enclosed head. The smaller one does not. All required safety gear is on board.
The reefs hold eight species year-round, but Red Snapper season draws the most anglers because the bite is heaviest then. The captain knows where the fish are holding and how to work each reef. You'll fish with provided rods, reels and tackle, and the captain supplies live bait matched to the species. Dolphins, sea turtles and sharks move through the same waters, so wildlife sightings are common. You can stream your own music on the boat's Bluetooth stereo and bring snacks or drinks to store in the on-board cooler. Bottled water and Gatorade are provided at no extra charge.
When you land fish, the captain cleans and fillets your catch. If you want to take it home, bring a small cooler with ice to leave in your vehicle. The trip includes complimentary digital photos of the day. A live English-speaking captain runs the boat, and the experience suits new anglers learning about tackle and species as much as experienced fishers chasing a personal best.

Is this one for you?The six-hour window is long enough to reach productive reefs and fish multiple spots, but short enough to fit into a day that includes other activities or a flight home. You'll need a moderate level of fitness for boarding and standing on deck, and the boat rocks with the Gulf swells.
