The experience
Four hours is enough to get a real taste of canyoneering without committing to a full day. You start at the meeting location, where your guide outfits your group with harness, helmet and rappel device. Then you hike into Lambs Knoll for a practice rappel. This is where your guide watches how the group moves and assesses what everyone can handle safely. From there, the canyon route opens up based on what you've shown: you'll scramble over obstacles, thread through slots, and descend various rappels, with your guide teaching the basics and keeping complete control over safety the entire time.
Because this is a private group tour, you're only with your own party. Your guide provides photography throughout, so you have images of the day without stopping to take them yourself. After the trip wraps, you get a cold drink and snack to recover. The whole experience is built around what your group can do, not a fixed itinerary everyone follows regardless of ability.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between this half-day trip and a full-day canyoneering tour?
This half-day trip gives you four hours to learn rappelling basics and explore canyons near Lambs Knoll with your guide. A full-day version would cover more terrain and deeper canyon systems, but this one fits easily into a Zion visit without taking up an entire afternoon.
Do I need canyoneering experience to book this?
No. Your guide teaches the basics and starts with a practice rappel in Lambs Knoll to assess the group. The route then adjusts to match what everyone can safely handle, so beginners and experienced climbers can go together.
What equipment do I need to bring?
Bring sturdy hiking shoes, clothes you don't mind getting wet or dirty, and a water bottle. The guide provides harness, helmet, rappel device and photography. Sun protection and extra water are not included, so bring sunscreen and plan to carry enough to drink.
Is this tour suitable for someone with moderate fitness?
Moderate fitness is the baseline for this trip. The guide tailors the canyon route to your group's ability after the practice rappel, so you won't be pushed beyond what's safe. The hike involves scrambling, climbing and rappelling, so you should be comfortable with physical exertion and heights.
Will I get photos from the trip?
Yes. Your guide provides photography throughout the day, so you have images of rappels, canyon passages and group moments without stopping to take pictures yourself.
