The experience
You arrive at Bunnychick Haven, a nonprofit sanctuary that began with rabbits and has grown into a rescue and education center for small animals. This isn't a traditional petting zoo where you move through crowds. Your visit is private, which means you set the pace and spend real time with each animal. The sanctuary sits just minutes from Navarre Beach, so it fits easily into an afternoon or a break between beach time and dinner.
During the one-hour experience, you meet the animals one by one (rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, a friendly goat and others), and learn their individual stories and personalities from your guide. You get to feed them, take photos and ask questions about their care and how they came to the sanctuary. Each animal has a history. Many are rescues, and the guide walks you through what daily sanctuary life looks like. The visit is tailored to what your group wants to focus on, whether that's learning about rabbit behavior, getting photos with the goat or understanding the rescue mission itself.
The sanctuary is wheelchair accessible, and all surfaces and areas are accessible throughout. Infants and small children can stay in a pram or stroller, and service animals are allowed. A live guide in English leads your private group the entire time.
