The experience

Two to four hours on the water means you set the length of your day. The boat holds up to 12 people and comes with a USCG-licensed captain. You're responsible for the captain's gratuity (20% of the booking fee). Water, soda and chips are provided, but you're welcome to bring a small cooler with your own drinks and food. A restroom is on board.

The route covers San Diego Bay's main sights: the downtown skyline, Coronado Bay Bridge, Naval Air Station Coronado and various vantage points of Point Loma. If you want to stop and swim, the boat can anchor in Glorietta Bay near Hotel Del Coronado. You can also tailor the cruise for a booze cruise, bar-hopping excursion, anchor-and-swim party or any other private event: the operator works with you to build the day you want.

Pickup is included. The boat departs from a dock, so you'll need to board directly from the pier with no wheelchair access. Public transportation options are available nearby if you're coming from elsewhere in San Diego.
