Polynesian culture and entertainment

- Explore six island villages with guide
- Participate in hands-on cultural activities
- Attend canoe pageant
- Enjoy Aliʻi Lūʻau buffet dinner
- Watch “HĀ: Breath of Life” evening show
The Experience
The day starts with a guided walk through six island villages, each one set up to show the traditions, crafts and daily life of a different Polynesian culture. You participate in hands-on activities as you move through—learning a skill, trying something, watching a demonstration—rather than standing outside looking in. The guide handles the route and the timing, so you do not have to decide which village to visit next or how long to spend at each one. A canoe tour across the lagoon and the Canoe Pageant "Huki – A Canoe Experience" are built into this stretch, and you also get entry to the Hawaiian Journey Movie Experience.
At five o'clock you move into the Aliʻi Lūʻau buffet dinner. A flower lei greeting marks your arrival, and the meal itself centers on a traditional Hawaiian feast with the imu (underground oven) unveiled as part of the experience. Live Hawaiian music and dance happen while you eat, so the entertainment is not separate from the meal—it is part of the room. A free smoothie comes with the package, and the dining staff can prepare alternate menus for gluten-free and other dietary restrictions if you request them when you arrive.
At seven-thirty you move to gold-level seating for "HĀ: Breath of Life," the center's evening show. The performance runs just over an hour and features Polynesian dances, music, and fireknife displays that tell the stories and traditions of the islands. Because you have gold-level seating instead of standard admission, you get a better sightline and closer proximity to the stage. After your initial visit, you also receive a free three-day pass to return to the center.
