The experience
You meet at Christopher Newport Park with your team and a cover story: sightseeing. The real objective arrives on your phones. Each player needs a charged smartphone with mobile data, and the game reveals one stop at a time as you solve challenges and uncover clues. The route spans 2.3 kilometers across four locations, taking about 2.5 hours at whatever pace your group chooses. There's no schedule to keep and no guide waiting. The missions are the setup. The real game is figuring out which teammate has been lying since the first stop.
The paths are step-free and fully mapped, so you move through Newport News without navigation stress. What separates this from typical city sightseeing is the friction: you'll stand on street corners debating answers, defending theories, and accusing each other of being the double agent. Friends, couples, families with teens, work teams and bachelor or bachelorette groups all play the same game, but the dynamics shift with who's on your team. A single player can book and play solo. Larger groups split into separate private teams.
Afterwards, your official report will say you saw the city. The photos will tell a different story. Book your private game on any date that works for your group, from 1 to 8 players, and bring one charged phone per person.
