Cook four Mediterranean dishes and eat them all in one afternoon

A three-hour hands-on cooking class in Tampa where you prepare a four-course Mediterranean menu (gambas al pil pil, roasted chicken, vegetarian paella and tiramisu) guided by a live chef in a small group. You cook each dish from scratch, then sit down to eat everything you made. The class accommodates dietary needs with advance notice, and you're welcome to bring wine or beer to pair with the meal.

The experience

You arrive and start with gambas al pil pil (shrimp sautéed with garlic, olive oil and spice) learning the Spanish technique that makes it work. From there the menu moves through a Mediterranean chicken with roasted vegetables, then a vegetarian paella layered with peppers, mushrooms, onions and artichokes. The chef walks you through each step, showing you how the flavors build and where the timing matters. By the time you reach the tiramisu (mascarpone, espresso and cocoa layered together) you've moved through Spanish, Italian and broader Mediterranean traditions without leaving Tampa.

The small-group format means you're not watching a demonstration. You're actually cooking. The class runs three hours, which is the time it takes to build all four courses and then sit down to eat them together. If you have dietary restrictions, let the operator know ahead of time and they'll adjust the menu to fit. Guests often bring wine or beer to pair with the meal, and that's encouraged.
