The experience

You move through the actual production space at Loon Liquors, past the copper stills and working equipment where the spirits are made. The guide walks you through how botanicals, grains and other ingredients become the finished product: the farm-to-flask story behind what ends up in the bottle. An overhead projector presentation fills in the technical details of the distillation process and the innovation that goes into each release.

The tasting comes at the end: a flight of aged spirits (the Whiskey Nerd option focuses on whiskey, the Explorer's Tour samples across the range) served in the branded Glencarin crystal glass you keep. The glass is designed to concentrate the aromas and direct them toward your nose as you taste, so the sensory part of the experience (the first whiff of the botanicals, the lingering notes on your palate) is built into how you hold it.

Pizza is available to order before or after the tour, made with flour stone-milled on site. The facility is fully wheelchair accessible, and public transportation options are nearby.
