The experience
If you've paddled a SUP before but never tried wind sailing, this lesson bridges that gap. You show up with paddleboarding experience, or even without it, and learn to use a sail or wing attached to your own board. The lesson starts on land with a quick introduction and demonstrations so you understand the mechanics before the water. Then you're in the lake for the hands-on part, working with a guide to feel how the sail catches wind and how to steer and balance as the board moves.
The gear here is what sets it apart: Duotone iRig sails and Tracker Hybrid SUP boards that weigh 70% less than traditional windsurfing equipment. The boards are built for this. They're not adapted paddleboards. You get the board, the sail or wing, and a personal flotation device. Everything else you need is provided. The lesson runs 1.5 hours, which gives you time to get comfortable with the basics without the day feeling like a commitment.
Kids as young as 4 can join, and the company has junior boards for younger paddlers and standard boards up to 6'6" tall. The water is a lake, not ocean swell, so conditions are more forgiving while you're learning. Lifeguards are on duty in season, and there's a shower and bathrooms on-site. Food and shopping are across the street if you want to make a longer day of it.

Is this one for you?The lesson asks you to enter the water and learn an unfamiliar skill with a guide watching, so it works best if you're comfortable in the water and willing to try something new. The 1.5-hour format means you're in and out in a morning or afternoon, which suits a single free block rather than a full-day commitment.
