The Experience

You get picked up from your Las Vegas hotel and driven to the starting point, where the guide walks you through operating the scooter—how to handle the throttle, brakes and turns—until everyone feels steady. Once the group is comfortable, you head out onto the Strip on your own scooter, riding south down Las Vegas Boulevard. The first food stop comes early, serving gourmet samples to fuel the rest of the day. Then you stop at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign for photos, ride past the Bellagio to see the Chihuly glass sculpture and the world's tallest chocolate fountain, and cruise north past the Venetian, Palazzo and Wynn.

The route takes you to the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop in Downtown Las Vegas, where the History Channel's Pawn Stars is filmed—depending on the day, cast members may be there. You continue through the historic casinos and neon signs of Downtown, the Art District, past Counts Kustoms (History Channel) and Welder Up (Discovery Channel's Vegas Rat Rods), where you see custom vehicles built by Steve Darnell. The second food stop is at a restaurant featured on the Travel Channel's Food Paradise, with selections picked by UFC heavyweight Roy "Big Country" Nelson. After eating, you ride to the Rio Hotel and Casino, take a glass elevator to the top floor as a VIP guest, and look out over the entire city from above.

The tour runs 4 hours total and stays under seven scooters per group, so it stays small and manageable. Bottled water is provided throughout. The route can shift depending on closures or filming schedules, and the start time changes with the season—9:00 AM from May through October, 10:00 AM from November through April, to avoid the worst heat or cold.

Top questions

What's the Welcome to Las Vegas sign actually like when you stop there?

The Welcome to Las Vegas sign is a 1959 landmark designed by Betty Willis and funded by Clark County. You stop to take photos at the sign itself, which sits south of the Strip on Las Vegas Boulevard—it's one of the most photographed spots in the city.

Do I ride the scooter myself, or does someone else drive?

You ride your own scooter throughout the tour. The guide leads the group and sets the pace, but each rider operates their own vehicle. The guide gives you a safety briefing at the start so you're comfortable before heading out.

What kind of food do you eat on this tour?

You stop at two award-winning local restaurants. The first serves gourmet samples early in the tour to give you energy for the ride. The second stop is at a restaurant featured on the Travel Channel's Food Paradise, with food selections picked by UFC fighter Roy "Big Country" Nelson. Both stops are included in the tour price.

Can I see the Pawn Stars shop, and will the cast be there?

Yes, the tour stops at the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop in Downtown Las Vegas, where Pawn Stars is filmed. Depending on the day and schedule, cast members like Chum Lee or the owner may be working, but their presence is not guaranteed.

How many people ride together on one scooter?

Each scooter holds a maximum of two passengers. If your group is larger than two, you'll need to book additional scooters. The entire tour group stays under seven scooters to keep it manageable.

What happens at the Rio Hotel at the end?

You ride to the Rio Hotel and Casino and take a glass elevator to the top floor as a VIP guest, where you get views of the entire Las Vegas valley from above. If you want an extra thrill, the VooDoo Zipline is available there, but it costs extra and is not included in the tour.
