The Experience
Adirondack Winery sits in Lake George as the region's first winery and top-rated local attraction. When you arrive at the tasting room, a knowledgeable wine concierge walks you through your choice: seven different wines poured at 3/4 ounce each, or a four-pour flight of Extreme Heights hard ciders, or a four-pour flight of American Oak whiskeys and bourbons. The tasting starts with a celebratory sparkling toast, so you're not standing around waiting to begin.
Between pours, you'll work through a shared happy snacker plate loaded with locally sourced cheeses, crackers, wine-infused chocolates and jelly, fresh marshmallows and olives. Midway through, you get to try one premium wine from the reserve, sparkling or dessert selection. The atmosphere is laid-back—no formality, no pretense—and the whole thing wraps with a chilled fruit-infused wine slushie in summer or a warm mulled wine or hot apple toddy in winter. You walk out with a premium souvenir logo glass designed to enhance the aroma of whatever you choose to drink at home.
