Step-by-step itinerary
Key West ghost hunting tour
- Meet at First Flight restaurant
- Learn about haunted aviation history
- Follow guide through Old Town Key West
- Visit haunted locations along the way
- Enter The Studios of Key West
- Use ghost hunting equipment in Masonic Lodge
The Experience
The tour kicks off at First Flight restaurant and microbrewery, where your local guide is already waiting with the ghost hunting equipment laid out. You'll learn the history of the building itself — aviation history, haunted history — before you even step into Old Town. This is not a walk where someone points and talks; you're holding EMF meters and dowsing rods from the start, which changes how you move through the streets. The guide knows which locations have the most activity and why, and they're not reading from a script.
From there you move through Old Town Key West on foot, stopping at the spots locals actually talk about. Your guide points out the haunted locations as you go, but the real work happens at the second stop: The Studios of Key West. This building used to be the Masonic Lodge and Temple, and now it's an art studio. You get exclusive access — not the kind of access you'd get on a regular walking tour. You bring the equipment inside, use the spirit board, check the EMF meters in the rooms where the Masons once gathered. Whether anything happens or nothing happens, you're doing the thing instead of watching someone else do it.
The whole experience runs at night, which is when the tour operates every single night. You need to be at least 16 to join; children aren't admitted. The walk covers ground and takes some stamina, so it's not a sit-down experience. Wheelchair accessible routes are available, and the guide can work with that, but you should know it's an active evening on your feet.
What’s included
Your evening includes ghost hunting equipment (EMF meters, dowsing rods, spirit board and more), a local expert guide, and exclusive access to two locations: First Flight restaurant and microbrewery, and The Studios of Key West. You do not arrange transportation or pay separately for the equipment.
