Two-hour water tour with changing routes for a unique experience each time

A two-hour guided jet ski tour around Key West on a Yamaha WaveRunner VX, covering a full 28-mile island lap with an experienced local guide who adjusts the route based on weather, tides, and marine traffic. The tour includes fuel, neoprene shorts, and safety equipment; riders follow the guide through backcountry channels, open water, and coastal stretches, with stops at the Southernmost Point, wildlife areas within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, and sandbars when conditions allow. First-time and experienced riders are welcome, and you can book a shared tour or a private group of up to six jet skis.

The Experience

Twenty-eight miles means roughly 30 minutes more riding time than a typical 90-minute tour, so the route has room for several stops instead of a straight run. After a safety orientation and riding instructions at The Perry Hotel & Marina, you follow an experienced local guide aboard your own Yamaha WaveRunner VX. The guide chooses the safest route for the day—reading tides, weather, marine traffic, and what the water allows—while sharing local history and information about the island as you move through it.

Depending on conditions, the lap takes you past the Southernmost Point from the water, along the Atlantic coastline, through wildlife areas within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, and to shallow-water or sandbar stops where you can slow down and look around. Fuel and all required safety equipment are included, along with neoprene shorts. Bring your own towel and sunscreen; the tour departs from The Perry Hotel & Marina, where Six Fins guests receive complimentary pool and gym access through a Free Perry Hotel Day Pass (a $35 value, subject to hotel rules and availability).

You book as a driver—one person per booking—and passengers ride free. Shared tours run with up to six jet skis, or you can book a private group. First-time riders and experienced ones both go out on the same tours; the guide manages the pace and the route so everyone stays safe and together.

What’s included

  • An experienced local guide leading the route.
  • fuel for your jet ski.
  • neoprene shorts.
  • all required safety equipment.

Is this one for you?Book a shared tour if you want to ride with other groups and keep the cost down, or choose a private group of up to six jet skis if you prefer to stay with people you know. The full two-hour lap gives you roughly 30 minutes more riding time than shorter tours, so pick this one if you want a complete island circuit instead of a partial route.
