The experience
The day starts with pickup from your Orlando or Kissimmee hotel in a private vehicle, then the drive to Kennedy Space Center on Florida's Space Coast. Once you arrive, a guide and concierge stay with your group (just your party, no strangers), to help you move through the visitor complex and hit the highlights without the usual navigation hassle. The guide speaks English, Spanish, or French depending on your booking.
The core of the day centers on three major exhibits. At the Space Shuttle Atlantis theater, you'll stand in front of the actual orbiter and move through more than 60 interactive stations that show how the shuttle worked and what it accomplished. The Shuttle Launch Experience simulator puts you in a crew cabin where you feel the sights, sounds, and g-forces of a real launch. At the Apollo/Saturn V Center, you walk through the history of the moon program: the Saturn V rocket that carried every astronaut who landed on the moon, the Apollo 8 Control Room, and a lunar module you can examine up close. You'll also touch a real lunar rock, one of the few places on Earth where you can do that.
Between the major stops, the concierge guides you through the Rocket Garden, the "Heroes and Legends" exhibition (which includes the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame), and the "Journey to Mars" experience where you can virtually travel through the solar system. Depending on the day, you may meet a veteran NASA astronaut at the Astronaut Encounter Show. The visitor complex also has IMAX films, 3D movies, and a massive space-themed store where astronauts sometimes sign autographs in the afternoons. Your guide can adjust the order of stops based on crowds, weather, or what interests your group most, and the eight hours includes all travel time.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and French.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. No refund if you cancel.
Can I bring my own food and drinks into Kennedy Space Center?
Yes. Guests are welcome to bring backpacks and soft-sided coolers with food and beverages into the visitor complex. Small coolers are permitted, though all bags are subject to security inspection. Glass bottles and containers are not allowed.
What is the Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit actually like?
Space Shuttle Atlantis is the real orbiter, displayed in a dedicated theater where you walk through over 60 interactive exhibits showing how the shuttle operated and its missions. After viewing the shuttle itself, you move through stations that explain the vehicle's systems and history before entering the Shuttle Launch Experience simulator.
Will my group meet an actual astronaut?
Kennedy Space Center sometimes hosts veteran NASA astronauts at the Astronaut Encounter Show, where you can interact with them and learn about space exploration firsthand. The availability depends on the day you visit, and your guide will let you know what's scheduled when you arrive.
What happens if my child is too young for some of the experiences?
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller throughout the visitor complex. Specialized infant seats are available if needed. The exhibits and simulators are suitable for all ages, though some attractions may have height or age guidelines that your guide can explain on the day.
How does the private guide change the experience compared to visiting on my own?
Your guide and concierge navigate the complex with you, helping you prioritize attractions and avoid lines at popular exhibits. They can adjust the order of stops based on crowds and your group's interests, and they provide context about the Apollo program, the shuttle, and current NASA missions as you move through the center.
