You start downtown at Devil's Club Brewing or Harbor Mountain Brewing, the operator alternates between them, then head to Alaskan Brewing Company, the state's original craft brewery operating since 1986, where the taproom sits in a purpose-built space and the kelp salsa from Barnacle Foods arrives while you're there. The third stop lands at Forbidden Peak Brewing in Auke Bay, a local favorite that most cruise passengers never reach because it sits above the harbor and requires someone else driving.

Between breweries, the tour hits the scenic stops that frame why people come to Juneau. Mendenhall Glacier appears from the Nugget Falls viewpoint: the river, the towers, the scale of it all visible from one spot. The last stop is the waterfront whale statue, completed in 2018 and now one of the most photographed landmarks in town.
