The Experience

It’s funny — I thought the Tetons would be the big thing on this float trip near Jackson, but honestly, it was the quiet that got me first. The river just kind of carried us along, and there was this moment when our guide, Mike (he grew up here), pointed out a bald eagle perched above us. I’d seen photos before, but seeing it in real life — feathers ruffling in the wind — felt different.
