The experience

You'll cover 2 miles on foot across EADO, stopping at five different food venues where the tastings are already paid for. The walk moves at a pace that lets you absorb both the food and the neighborhood. Your guide explains the history as you move between stops, connecting what you're eating to how the area has changed. The bakery opens the tour with Houston's best pastries. From there you'll taste tacos, BBQ and Vietnamese food at dedicated stops, each one a chance to understand how different communities have shaped the food culture here.

The Houston Graffiti Building is a centerpiece of the walk. Your guide covers the rise of graffiti as an art form in the city and points out the work of Houston's most famous graffiti artist. You'll also move through a supermarket stocked with foods from around the world, exploring what's available there, and finish by walking through Discovery Green's gardens while learning about the public art on display and the history of the George R. Brown Convention Centre nearby. The stops aren't rushed. You have time to look at the street art and architecture that define the neighborhood.
