The experience

The ride starts at 10 AM and you pick your route based on trail conditions and water flow. The Creek Crossing Ride takes you past Ann's Pond and over Ann's Ridge to a 360-degree view of the valley and Teton mountain range, then down to Willow Creek where you ride parallel to the water and cross it four times before reaching the lunch spot. The Historic Rim Rock Ranch route follows the Bryans Flat logging road, the same path where oxen and carts hauled lumber to build Jackson Hole, and approaches lunch in the valley where the old ranch once stood. Both loops return to Willow Creek Ranch.

A live guide leads the ride in English and stays with the group throughout. The four-and-a-half-hour outing includes lunch at the trail's end, so you're not packing a meal or stopping at a restaurant afterward. The operator notes that trail conditions and water flow may affect which route runs on your day, so flexibility on which scenery you see is part of the booking. Children from age 8 can ride, and the operator confirms the pace works for all fitness levels, though the ride is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or during pregnancy.

What’s included

  • Lunch.
  • live English-speaking guide for the full ride.
