The Experience

The Black Sparrow departs from the dock where the transformation begins: tattoos, face paint and a pirate name get applied before you board. Once on deck, the crew learns how to walk and talk like a pirate, then sets out in search of treasure. The catch is that Stinky Pete, the island's smelliest pirate, has stolen the key to the treasure map, and the only way to get it back is to man the water cannons and blast him until he surrenders.

The water cannon battle is the centerpiece of the adventure. Kids take turns firing at Stinky Pete while the guide keeps the energy high with singing, dancing and surprises along the way. The crew always wins, and every pirate walks away with a share of the booty. The whole experience runs 90 minutes, so there's time for action but not for a big lunch—the kids stay in the thick of it the whole time. Bring sunblock; there's shade aboard but the crew stays active in the sun. There's no restroom on the boat, so plan ahead.

The boat operates in most weather conditions, so dress for the elements. You don't need bathing suits—the water cannons stay on deck and the kids stay dry.
