Step-by-step itinerary
Private yacht cruise and sandbar swim
- Cruise to Fort Lauderdale sandbar
- Swim and float on water mat
- Play music via Bluetooth speakers
- Relax aboard the yacht
- Captain selects safe anchoring spot
The experience
You book the boat for your group alone: no strangers sharing the deck or the cooler. A captain handles the helm and picks the anchoring spot based on weather and conditions that day, so if the main sandbar is crowded, Sunrise Bay or another location becomes your destination instead. The 37- or 40-foot Sundancer gives you open deck space to move around, cabin space to step inside, and an onboard bathroom. Fuel is covered, so you're not paying extra to get there and back.
Once anchored, the day is yours to shape. Swim off the boat, float on the included water mat, or stay aboard and relax. Bluetooth speakers let you play your own music. A cooler stocked with ice and water sits ready. Bring whatever food and drinks suit your group: no restrictions on what you pack. Your captain stays aboard to manage the boat and answer questions, but the itinerary and the pace are entirely up to you.
The charter runs 2 or 4 hours depending on which option you choose at checkout. Captain fees are separate: $100 for the 2-hour charter or $200 for the 4-hour one. The lead traveler signs a bareboat charter agreement before departure, a requirement under U.S. Coast Guard law. A guide speaks English or Spanish.

Is this one for you?Choose the 4-hour option if your group wants time to swim, drift, and linger without feeling rushed. The 2-hour charter works for a quick escape to the water and back. Either way, having the boat to yourselves means no waiting for deck space or sharing the cooler, and your captain adjusts the destination on the day to avoid crowds and find the calmest water.

What's the difference between the Fort Lauderdale Sandbar and Sunrise Bay?

Both offer the same experience: swimming, floating, and relaxing on the water with your group.

Yes, you bring your own food and drinks. The cooler with ice and water is included, so you have cold storage and fresh water throughout the charter.
What's included in the yacht rental, and what costs extra?

The private charter accommodates up to 12 guests in your group. You choose the 37-foot or 40-foot Sundancer, both of which have open deck space and cabin space.
