The experience

What makes Temecula's climate and soil so good for wine? A sommelier walks you through the answer across the estate vineyards and production area. You'll taste five wines as you move through the Estate Syrah and Graciano blocks, then into the production facility where you see the bladder press, grape conveyor and temperature-controlled tanks that turn fruit into finished wine. The unique soils and geographic features that drive the valley's reputation get discussed in depth as you walk.

The educational vineyard holds over 20 different grape varieties planted on the estate, so you can judge how each one performs in Temecula's conditions. You'll also see a live cork tree and an infographic detailing cork production. After the walking component, you descend into the Vienza Cave, Barcelona Room or Palomino Room: your choice of setting for the food and wine pairing that closes the tour. There you receive a personal charcuterie board, a chef's choice appetizer and chocolate nibs, each paired with three wines from the tasting lineup.
