East Tennessee ATV Riding: Mountain Trails & Views
You ride the ATV yourself, not as a passenger.
An East Tennessee off-road ATV activity where you ride a single-rider machine up and down mountain trails, reaching the highest bluff view of the valley and an optional mud hole. A live guide leads the route. Minimum age is 16; ATVs and helmets are included. The ride runs about an hour.
The Experience
One hour on an ATV means you're on the bike the whole time, not watching someone else ride. The guide takes you up and down the mountains—starting from the trailhead, climbing to the highest bluff view where you can see across the valley, then dropping down to an optional mud hole if you want it. Whether you've ridden before or this is your first time on an ATV, the route and the guide's support are built around keeping you moving and in control.
All ATVs are single rider only; no passengers ride along. That's the setup that makes the whole thing work—you're steering, throttling and braking your own machine for the full hour, not sitting behind someone else. The guide rides ahead and sets the pace, and you follow the trail. Helmets come with the rental, and riders need to be at least 16 years old to participate.
The terrain moves between climbing and descending, so the ride is active the whole way through. Bring water and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, especially if you take the mud hole option. The guide is there to keep the group together and make sure everyone stays safe on the trail.
What’s included
ATV rental and helmet for the full hour; a live guide leading the route up the mountains and down to the valley overlook.

Is this one for you? This is a ride-it-yourself activity, so you need to be comfortable controlling an ATV on your own for the full hour. Pick this one if you want to be the one steering and throttling, not riding as a passenger—the single-rider setup is what puts you in control of the whole experience.

What's the highest point you reach on this ATV ride?
The highest bluff view of the valley is the peak of the route—you climb up to it and get a full view across the landscape before heading back down.
Can I ride an ATV if I've never done it before?
Yes. The guide and the trails are set up for both experienced riders and first-timers, so you can join even if this is your first time on an ATV.
Is there a mud hole on every ride?
The mud hole is optional—the guide will take you there if you want to ride through it, but you can skip it and stick to the main trail instead.
How old do you have to be to ride?
The minimum age is 16 years old. Riders must be at least 16 to participate; no passengers under 16 are allowed on the ATVs.
What happens if I'm not comfortable riding alone?
All ATVs are single rider only, so passengers are not permitted—you'll be on your own machine the whole time. If that doesn't suit you, this activity may not be the right fit.
