Work with horses on the ground to uncover your leadership presence and impact

A corporate leadership and team retreat in Boulder uses ground-based horsemanship exercises to explore presence, connection, intuition, boundaries, and authentic leadership. Horses offer real-time feedback on how you show up. A guide provides personalized coaching and debriefs each exercise. No horse experience or riding is involved, and sessions are customized by group size and goals, ranging from half-day to multi-day programs at the 55-acre ranch facility or partner locations.

The experience

EquusLibere runs customized retreats at a 55-acre ranch 20 minutes north of Boulder, pairing ground-based exercises with horses against facilitation and real-time debriefs. The work explores leadership presence and impact, communication, trust, collaboration, feedback, decision-making, team dynamics, and alignment: each session tailored to your group's specific goals. Past clients include Google, HBO, Coca Cola, University of Denver, and Palantir. Sessions happen in outdoor and heated indoor arenas and workshop spaces, and programs can integrate mindfulness, wellbeing, and catered meals if you want them.

You engage in natural horsemanship exercises on the ground, working directly with the horses to understand connection and partnership. The horses respond to your presence and energy in real time, offering feedback that a guide translates and uses to coach you on your unique leadership gifts and growth areas. Bonding exercises with the horses create fun, insightful moments for learning about yourself and your group members. You'll also learn about herd dynamics and the neuroscience behind how horses perceive and react to human behavior.

Half-day, full-day, and multi-day engagements are available and priced by group size, length, location, and program design. The retreat can also happen at partner locations across Colorado, the U.S., and internationally if your team prefers an offsite elsewhere. A live guide leads the session in English, Spanish, or French, and children are welcome from age 5. No horse experience is necessary, and the setting is accessible for all fitness levels.
