West Side Market opens the tour: a historic food hall where over 100 vendors sell produce, meats, cheeses, seafood, baked goods and spices from every tradition that settled in Cleveland. You walk through it with time to sample, not just look. From there, the guide drives you through Downtown's lakefront and past the three professional sports venues, then into the Warehouse District's restaurant row and Playhouse Square, where the performing arts district spans multiple city blocks.

The route follows the Cuyahoga River into The Flats, the revitalized residential and entertainment area that lines the water, before moving to University Circle—the cultural hub packed with museums, universities, parks and hospitals. Rockefeller Park's Cultural Gardens come next, a 280-acre spread of dedicated gardens honoring the ethnic groups that built the city. The cemetery and arboretum there also holds President Garfield, John D. Rockefeller, and Alan Freed, the DJ who coined the phrase "Rock 'n Roll."
