Chicago Brewery Tour: 5 Micro Breweries with Homemade Guacamole
Five breweries, one afternoon, guacamole made in front of you
A 90-minute brewery expedition through five handcrafted micro breweries in Chicago's Fulton Market and Brewery District, led by a guide in English or Spanish. You start with homemade guacamole and tortilla chips prepared by Chef Carla, plus three 5-ounce craft beer tastings included; then walk to four more breweries where you order additional beers and stay as long as you want. All locations are within walking distance.
Step-by-step itinerary
Explore Chicago local breweries
- Meet at first brewery
- Eat homemade guacamole and tortillas
- Taste 3 handcrafted beers
- Walk to other breweries
- Visit 4 favorite craft breweries
- Order additional beers and serve yourself
- Stay as long as you want
The Experience
You meet at the first brewery where the guide introduces the group and Chef Carla makes homemade guacamole and tortilla chips in front of you. The three included craft beer tastings arrive as a flight—each glass is 5 ounces, enough to taste the differences without rushing through them. This is where you get a sense of what the breweries are doing: the flavors, the process, the story behind each one. Everyone shares their take on what they're tasting.
Then you walk to the other four breweries, all within the same neighborhood. At each one, you can order additional beers and stay as long as you want—the tour structure ends, but your afternoon doesn't have to. The breweries are clustered in what used to be Chicago's meatpacking district and is now becoming the Brewery District, so the walk between them is part of the experience itself. You're moving through Fulton Market on foot, not being shuttled around.
The whole thing runs 90 minutes for the guided portion, which means you can fit it into a morning or early afternoon and still have the rest of your day open. The minimum age is 21, and public transportation options are available nearby if you need them.

Is this one for you?At 90 minutes for the guided portion, this tour leaves your afternoon open—you can do it early and still have time for lunch or other plans, or stay longer at any brewery after the group portion ends. The walk between breweries means you're exploring the neighborhood itself, not just tasting beer in one spot.
