The experience
The day starts with a drive from downtown Chattanooga to Georgia Winery, a family-owned vineyard known for handcrafted wines made from locally grown grapes. You'll taste five different pours (a mix of the sweet Southern wines the vineyard specializes in), and take home a bottle along with a souvenir. The winery itself has a charming atmosphere built around the grapes and the people who grow them.
After the tasting, you're driven back to Chattanooga to begin the walking portion. Bluff View Art District sits above the Tennessee River and mixes galleries, sculptures, and gardens in a historic neighborhood. You'll stroll through the area near Hunter Museum of American Art, surrounded by the architecture and river views the district is built on. The walk ends at Hunter Museum itself, where you can continue at your own pace if you want to spend more time inside.
Pickup and drop-off happen from a parking garage downtown. Snacks and water travel with you throughout. The guide speaks English and leads the whole experience, so you're not navigating on your own.
