The experience

The hike begins at Sunrise Point and descends into the canyon among the hoodoos, bristlecone pines, and stone arches. You'll traverse the Wall Street section (the most iconic stretch of the park), where the trail winds through narrow passages carved into the rock. A private guide leads the way, explaining how the amphitheaters formed, which plants and animals live here, and the human history of the area. The route is flexible: most hikers follow the main path to Thor's Hammer and the Queen Victoria Hoodoo, but if you want a longer day, the full Peekaboo Loop is an option.

Midway through, you'll reach a birds-eye view of Wall Street and Thor's Hammer: the stopping point for a gourmet charcuterie board picnic.
