The experience
The tour begins near York Street Station in DUMBO, where your guide meets you among the neighborhood's historic buildings and cobblestone streets. You'll stop for photos at the Manhattan Bridge, over 100 years old, before heading to Brooklyn Bridge Park and Brooklyn Heights Promenade. Then comes the walk across the Brooklyn Bridge itself, where the Manhattan skyline comes into full view.
Once in Lower Manhattan, the route moves through Chinatown, one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, then into Little Italy before reaching Ground Zero and the 9/11 Memorial. You'll pass City Hall and the Woolworth Building on the way to Wall Street, where you can photograph the Charging Bull and Fearless Girl statues and see the New York Stock Exchange. The walking portion ends at Battery Park on Manhattan's southern tip.
From Battery Park, you board the free Staten Island Ferry for a 30-minute crossing that passes the Statue of Liberty. You're free to explore Staten Island or catch the next ferry back to Manhattan. The choice is yours. Your guide gives directions before you board but does not join you on the ferry itself.
