The experience

The sail runs 1.5 hours and covers the full sweep of the Inner Harbor: out toward Fort McHenry and back as the sun drops to the west. You'll see the Civil War-era ship from the water, where her size becomes obvious in a way the waterfront view doesn't quite capture. The boat has seating on the cabin tops, so you're not crowded into a cabin. You can spread out and claim your own space while the light changes.

Bring your own wine or beer. That's the BYOB part, and it's what makes this different from a standard sunset cruise. The timing works because by the hour the sun actually sets, the tour boats that run earlier in the evening have already cleared out. You're left with the harbor mostly empty, the city lighting up the water, and no crowd noise from other decks. A local guide narrates the sail in English and points out what you're passing.
