You operate the machine through terrain most drivers never reach.

ATV riding in Ozark National Forest, Arkansas, puts you behind the wheel of a Kawasaki KRX 1000 to navigate rugged trails and discover waterfalls and overlooks on a guided 3 or 5 hour adventure. You choose between a 2 or 4 seater vehicle and the duration that fits your schedule. Waterfalls flow best in spring, fall and winter. A live English-speaking guide leads the route through the Mill Creek OHV trail system.

The experience

You drive the Kawasaki KRX 1000 yourself through the Mill Creek OHV trail system and Ozark National Forest, not as a passenger watching someone else operate it. The 3 hour route takes you to 3-2-1 Falls, 30 Foot Falls, Hidden Falls, Flat Rock overlook, and the old Rock House. If you book the 5 hour option, you also reach 60 Foot Falls, Mountain Fork Creek Falls (two of the largest in the area), and Hanging Rock overlook. A guide leads the loop and handles navigation so you focus on the driving.

The Kawasaki KRX 1000 is built for this terrain: it handles the rugged sections where a standard vehicle would stall. Fuel and liability insurance come with the rental, and you can choose a 2 seater if you're going solo or with one other person, or a 4 seater to bring family or friends along. The whole operation sits 35 minutes from Fayetteville, so you're not spending half the day in transit.

Waterfalls depend on rainfall, so spring, fall and winter are the best times to see them flowing. If you visit during a dry stretch, the overlooks and the old Rock House still reward the drive, but the falls themselves may be reduced to a trickle or dry entirely. Check the season before you book if seeing water is the main draw.

Top questions

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

Can I bring my kids on this ATV ride?

Yes. The activity is suitable for ages 6 and up, and the 4 seater vehicle lets you bring children along. A guide leads the route, so you're not navigating alone.

What's the difference between the 3 hour and 5 hour rides?

The 3 hour route covers 3-2-1 Falls, 30 Foot Falls, Hidden Falls, Flat Rock overlook, and the old Rock House. The 5 hour option adds 60 Foot Falls, Mountain Fork Creek Falls, and Hanging Rock overlook: the two largest waterfalls in the area.

When do the waterfalls actually have water in them?

Waterfalls flow best in spring, fall, and winter when rainfall is higher. Summer and dry periods can reduce them to a trickle or leave them dry entirely, so plan your visit accordingly if seeing flowing water is important to you.

Do I need off-road driving experience to do this?

No. The activity suits all physical fitness levels, and the guide leads you through the terrain. You operate the Kawasaki KRX 1000 yourself, but the route is designed for riders of varying skill.

What's included in the price?

The Kawasaki KRX 1000 vehicle, fuel, liability insurance, and a live English-speaking guide are all included. You choose a 2 or 4 seater depending on your group size.
